Kennywood's Open for Holiday Lights in the Park!

Kennywood Park is all lit up for the holidays and some rides are open for its December festival.

More than one million dazzling lights and displays are illuminating Kennywood Park for the holiday season.

Kennywood Holiday Lights will run from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, through Dec. 30, plus Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 26 and 27.

These rides are open during Holiday Lights: Gingerbread Express (Olde Kennywood RR), Merry-Go-Round, Paratrooper, Kangaroo, Ghostwood Estate (with a special holiday theme), Turtle, Auto Race, and up to nine Kiddieland rides. And forget the holiday cookies—the Potato Patch is open!

Among the other attractions:

  • Spectacular Holiday Lights Show featuring favorite holiday music every half hour.
  • Christmas carolers, performances by choirs, model train displays, festive foods and, of course, visits and photos with Santa Claus (through Dec. 23).
  • Holiday-themed rides on the Olde Kennywood Railroad, plus the Merry Go Round and kiddie rides. There’s something for everyone, no matter what age you might be.

Admission is $14.99 a person at the gate, plus a $1 amusement tax. Participating Giant Eagle locations offer admission tickets at a $2 savings. This year, the park is offering a Holiday Lights Holiday Pass good for the season at a cost of $24.99, plus a $1 amusement tax.
