Giant Eagle Ending Foodperks Program

Giant Eagle is ending its popular Foodperks! program. Did you like the grocery store's Foodperks! program and how much did you save by filling up at GetGo gas stations?

Giant Eagle is ending its popular Foodperks! program, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The last day to use any Foodperks! points on your Advantage card will be May 31. However, the last day to earn those discount points by filling up at GetGo gas stations is on Feb. 13.

The supermarket/gas station chain's Fuelperks! program will continue, the P-G reports. In fact, starting on Thursday, it will be supplemented by a 3-cent discount on gasoline for Advantage Card holders on the occasions when they don't use Fuelperks!

Giant Eagle CEO Laura Karet said that the Foodperks! program had become "a little too complex."

The Giant Eagle grocery stores located in this area are in the Chartiers Valley Shopping Center and Virginia Manor Shopping Center.

There are also GetGo gas stations on Washington Pike in South Fayette and Cochran Road and Washington Avenue in Scott Township.
