Heat Advisory Issued for Chartiers Valley Area

The combination of heat and humidity will make it feel as if it's close to 100-degrees Wednesday afternoon.

With the temperature expected to soar to 90 degrees today, the National Weather Service hasΒ issued a heat advisoryΒ for the Pittsburgh area.

The advisory will be in effect from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, the website indicates.

While the mercury might read 90 degrees, it will feel more like 100.

"The heat could make it dangerous to perform outdoor activities during the afternoon," the website said. "The heat could also be dangerous for those without air conditioning."
