Scott Family Wins 'Nutcracker' Contest

The mother and son were selected as the winners for the contest and will receive two tickets to see 'The Nutcracker" at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre this month.

A family from Scott Township was selected as the winners for Chartiers Valley Patch’s ‘Nutcracker Tradition’ contest.

Eric Barr posted a photo of his son, Jared, with a large nutcracker at the Sweet Shoppe & Nut House in Collier Towns Square.

Jared and his mother, Marion, will go to see a performance of ‘The Nutcracker” at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre later this month.

The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's production features more than 210 costumes, 190 performers—including more than 150 students ages 7 and older—and turn-of-the-century Pittsburgh-themed set design.

We also had a great photo submitted by Colleen Mutschler with Connor “saluting his favorite nutcracker” at the same Collier Township candy store.
