Flowers Sprout Out of Bridgeville's Streetscape Revitalization

Those orange cones on Route 50 in are slowly being replaced with beautiful flowers and plants.

is almost finished, and the biggest sign of that is the vegetation that is being planted in the soil next to the sidewalks where those cumbersome trees once stood.

Borough Manager Lori Collins could be seen working hard watering the bushes and flowers in the sidewalk planters.

Construction crews have worked throughout the summer replacing the sidewalks in Bridgeville’s main business district that were badly buckled by trees.

Workers also are also replacing the street lamps and upgrading them with LED lights.

The work is expected to be finished by the end of the week.
