South Hills Junior Orchestra Holiday Benefit Concert

South Hills Junior Orchestra will perform at a Benefit Concert at Boyce Middle School in Upper St. Clair. The theme of the event is Holiday Music and Giving, and the student members of the orchestra will conduct and play seasonal carols such as Sleigh Ride, Chanukah Celebration, Joy to the World, Deck the Halls and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

The concert is a fundraiser for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, the Upper St. Clair School District Performing Arts and specifically the Boyce Theatre.  The organization is requesting that those who attend the concert and all SHJO members bring food items as a donation to the Food Bank. In addition, monetary gifts will be used to help purchase a new piano for Boyce Middle School. 

The Boyce Middle School would like to raise $6000 for an upright piano for music performances.
