Scott Township is holding an "E-Waste Recycling" drop-off event Friday. There will also be a "shredding event" in Bethel Park on Saturday.

Scott Township is holding an “E-Waste Recycling” drop-off event this week.

The recycling event will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the Scott Township Public Works garage at the corner of Greentree and Lindsay Roads.

Residents and consumers are welcome to drop off their old electronic devices that are no longer permitted to be place for regular garbage pick-up. There is no cost to drop off the “e-waste” at the public works garage.

There will also be a shredding event at the Brentwood Bank in Bethel Park. The bank branch at McMurray and South Park roads will be the location for a “Shred-It” truck to allow people to bring up to three boxes containing sensitive documents for shredding. That event will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
