Raven Drive in Scott Twp. Closed Through Wednesday Evening

A portion of Raven Drive is closed Wednesday evening while crews repair a sink hole that opened earlier in the day.

A sink hole has closed a portion of Raven Drive in Scott Township through the evening while the township's public works crew repairs the road.

Scott Township police Sgt. Jeff Skees said Raven Drive was closed this afternoon between Oriole Drive and Segar Road when a sink hole opened near an underground line. As of 4:30 p.m., the road had not re-opened.

Another sink hole opened this afternoon in front of Denny's Restaurant at the corner of Greentree Road and Swallow Hill Road, and has been roped with caution tape. Skees said it is not known yet if the township or the restaurant will pay for the repair, but traffic is moving normally through the area.

Skees also said that there were no injuries in the township today as a result of flooding or storm-related issues, and that two people thought to be stuck in a home in Scrubgrass Road are safe and uninjured.
