Patch Pets: Say Hello to Fox

Fox is an outgoing little dog that needs a forever home!

Say hello to Fox.

He was surrendered to the Animal Rescue League in Pittsburgh because his owner didn't have enough time for him. Fox lived with children and loves to play, especially with balls. He does have a slight food guarding issue, so the ARL would recommend a home with older children.

He knows a few commands like sit and down, and he walks well on the leash. His previous owners said that he had been having some accidents in the house recently, so he needs to be in a home with people that have time for him and can provide consistency. The ARL workers also noted that Fox has a tendency to escape if given the option, so either a fenced yard or leash walking is needed to keep this cute little dog safe.

Given his long coat, Fox is a dog that will require lots of brushing and maybe some professional grooming to keep him looking good. Pomeranian type dogs are usually happy, little outgoing dogs.

Come to the Animal Rescue League at 6620 Hamilton Ave. in East Liberty or call 412-661-6452 to meet any dozens of dogs and scores of cats. The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday through Monday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
