Patch Pets: Meet Foxi

Can you give this beautiful dog a home?

This beautiful Belgian Malinois mix is Foxi. She was extremely emaciated when found in a park and taken to Animal Rescue League. From there she has been spending some time in a foster home to put some weight on.

Foxi is a friendly and easy-going dog. She is initially reserved around people she doesn't know but quickly warms up to them. She is house-trained and knows some basic commands. She is calm and easy to handle and walks well on a leash. She also loves to go for a ride in the car. Back at home, she is content to curl up next to you. In spite of the rough time she had before coming into the shelter, she is quite sweet.

Foxi has experienced separation anxiety. She has managed to escape from her crate several times. She would do best with an owner who is willing to take the time to work with her to overcome her anxiety. Foxi needs to be adopted by a more experienced dog owner, ideally someone with familiarity with the breed.

For more information or to arrange a visit, contact: llira@verizon.net. Come to the Animal Rescue League at 6620 Hamilton Ave. in East Liberty or call 412-661-6452 to meet any dozens of dogs and scores of cats.
