UPDATE: Fort Pitt Tunnel Re-opens After Flooding

UPDATE (July 10 9:12 a.m.): PennDOT is reporting that the Fort Pitt Tunnels have re-opened in both directions.

PennDOT is reporting that the Fort Pitt Tunnel is closed in the outbound direction due to flooding, and that traffic will be detoured from the Fort Pitt Bridge to West Carson Street, then to Route 51 and back to the Parkway West.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that Banksville Road is impassable, as of 8:31 a.m.

Flooding also was reported along Castle Shannon Boulevard and Scott Road in Mt. Lebanon.
