Lost Dog Found in East Carnegie

Animal control is trying to find the owner of this miniature dachshund.

Animal control workers are trying to locate the owner of a stray dog found wandering Friday night in Scott Township.

The dog, a light brown miniature dachshund, was found near Noblestown Road and picked up by a resident living on Idlewood Avenue in the East Carnegie neighborhood. The resident kept the dog overnight before turning him over to animal control Saturday afternoon.

The dog may also have been roaming around Carnegie after animal control workers found a photo of him on www.telephonepole.org. Animal Control Officer Roy Hayward said the dog is “very sweet and loves company.”
