Get Out: Weekend Planner

Check out these five events this weekend.

1.Tales ‘N Tunes Story Time
Where?/When?: South Fayette Township Library, 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Friday
Why Go?: For ages 3-5 years with caregivers. The group sings songs (with motions), read stories and enjoy age-appropriate art activities. This high-energy program develops language, math, motor and social skills. No registration is required.
Pricing: Free.

2. AARP Tax Aide
Where/When: Bridgeville Public Library, 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: The Bridgeville Library is offering free tax help for taxpayers with low and moderate income.  Call 412-221-3737 to make an appointment.

3. History Uncorked: A Red, White and Blue Affair
Where/When: Senator John Heinz History Center, 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: Celebrate a Red, White, and Blue Affair at History Uncorked 2012! History Uncorked offers young professionals an opportunity to become involved in the History Center's mission while mingling with up-and-coming entrepreneurs, connecting with colleagues in their fields, and building a broader professional network! Now in its 14th year, History Uncorked promises to be a fun, festive evening for all. Come out for top-notch entertainment, food and beverages from local vendors, and the ever-popular raffle/auction.  History Uncorked welcomes all guests age 21 and over. Proper ID is required. The event will be cocktail or business attire.  
Pricing: General Admission tickets will be available for $50 in advance or $60 at the door.

4.National Geographic Little Explorers Club
Where?/When?: Pottery Barn Kids at The Galleria, 10 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The National Geographic Little Explorers Club is coming to Pottery Barn at the Galleria in Mount Lebanon. This week, the club will focus on all things birds! Children, ages 3 and up, will learn all about these creatures through hands-on activities, songs and more! Children will receive a badge for each event they attend. Call 412-344-1615 to register!

5. Puppy Tales
Where?/When?: Bridgeville Public Library, 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Children in grades 1 through 5 can sign up for a 15-minute reading session with the therapy dogs, Zeke or Max! This program is perfect for kids that need extra practice with reading. Bring your favorite book to read.
