Get Out: Weekend Planner

Go on an Easter egg hunt, attend a fashion show or get involved with a military reenactment.

1.
Where?/When?: , 11:30 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Come meet the Easter bunny, there will be a coloring contest, cookie decorating, raffles and lots of fun. Each child should bring his or her own basket. Egg Hunt goes on rain or shine.

2.  Sharpen Up With Crate
Where/When: Crate, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go: The Sharpen Up event will feature a Knife Trunk Show with a large selection of specialty knives, Knife Sharpening and Knife Skills Class. Click here for the schedule.

Where?/When?: DoubleTree Hotel, 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: Celebrating 75 years of improving the lives of women and girls in the community and everywhere, SI of Pittsburgh invites you to its annual Spring Benefit Luncheon and Fashion Show. All proceeds benefit organizations such as The Women's Center & Shelter, Bethlehem Haven, Womansplace, POWER, Gwen's Girls, and the VA. 75 years of fashions provided by the Point Park University Drama Department.

Where?/When?: , 7 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: If you are responsible for an adult loved one and have questions, concerns, or experiences to share, you are invited to meet with others who are in the same situation.  We'll consider:  your experiences, support groups, legal issues, care facilities/in-home services, hospice.  Based on our discussion, we'll arrange for experts to meet with us at future sessions. Please pre-register for this program.

Where?/When?: , 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: Step back in time at Woodville Plantation, when this living history museum presents a special event featuring 18th century military reenactments. On Sunday, April 1, 2012, history enthusiasts are invited to join the soldiers of Wayne’s Fourth Sub-Legion, the first Army of the United States, as they practice the drills of Baron Von Steuben from 1794. Events of the day include tactical demonstrations, musket firing, marching and ceremonial drills. Weather permitting.
Pricing: $5 for adults, $3 for children age 6 to 12 and free for children under age 6
