Summer Gardening Series by Penn
State Master Gardeners
The Penn State Master Gardeners of Allegheny County are offering a summer Backyard Gardening
Lecture on Saturday, July 28, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Penn Hills Lawn and Garden Center,
200 Jefferson Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
Topics include: What’s New for your Summer Garden, plants
that will carry a garden through the “dog days” of summer; Landscape and
Design, the basics of creating a beautiful landscape; and Preserving the
Harvest, the basics of canning, drying, and freezing. Recipes will be included.

Registration fee is $15.00. Checks made payable to Penn State Extension
may be sent to: Penn State Extension Allegheny
County, 400 N. Lexington Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15208. Walk-ins on the day of the
event also accepted.
