Bridgeville Featured in Chevy Web Video

The borough and Colussy Chevrolet are featured in a video by the car manufacturer to celebrate its 100th anniversary.

and are playing a starring role in Chevy’s 100th year celebration.

The borough is featured in a short online video, the first of 100 that will be produced by Chevrolet, to show small towns across America.

Various residents, business leaders, borough officials and are interviewed for the 3-minute and 42-second video that has both beautiful and humble shots of Bridgeville and the car dealership in neighboring South Fayette.

Chevrolet chose Bridgeville for its first video of “The Road We’re On” because Colussy Chevy is now the car manufacturer’s oldest dealership. The video shows interviews with Tim and Jon Colussy, the third generation owners, as they discuss the 93 years the dealership has been in business.

Chartiers Valley's football stadium in Collier Township and Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial are also prominently featured in the video.

Borough Council President Nino Petrocelli and Councilwoman Mary Weise discuss what makes Bridgeville special from the family businesses to the small town feel. The film crew also even went to a Chartiers Valley High School football game earlier this year and took shots of the team, cheerleaders and band.

The Mother New York film crew was in town Sept. 12 to 23 as it interviewed residents and took shots of the borough and car dealership.

“Bridgeville, Pennsylvania is a small town rich with local history, steeped in Americana,” according to the video description. “In episode one of Welcome to Bridgeville we are introduced to the town and some of the people and stories at the heart of what gives Bridgeville the spirit it has today.”
