Residents Trapped in Homes in Scott Township, Bridgeville

Flooding has been reported in much of the South Hills area, including Scott Township and Bridgeville where some homes are reportedly flooding.

Allegheny County dispatch reports that a resident is stranded in a home in the 500 block of Baldwin Street in Bridgeville, and that water is rising around the house. Railroad Street and Baldwin Street are both reportedly flooded.

A reader submitted the above photo of Baldwin Street during the rain on Wednesday morning.

Two people also were reportedly stuck in a Scott Township home this morning.

The county also reports that the creek is overflowing in the 1100 block of McLaughlin Run Road in Bridgeville, and that the roadway and surrounding area is flooding.
