Five events to check out in and near Chartiers Valley this weekend.

The weekend is almost here and there is a TON of stuff happening in the area. Well, Chartiers Valley Patch is coming to the rescue with our Get Out Weekend Planner!

We’ve got 5 of the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy. You won't be disappointed.

Where?/When?: Bethel Park Community Center, Friday, 6-9:30 p.m.
Why Go?: One night, three hilarious comedians and a million laughs! Comedians David Kaye, Chuck Krieger and Lisa Dapprich will perform at this fun fundraiser. This is a BYOB event for ages 21 and over. Ticket price includes a full pasta dinner, dessert buffet and comedy show. Proceeds benefit all LifeSpan services for seniors

Why Go?: Ages 8 and up learn about the daily life of the people who lived in the desert of ancient Egypt. See the artifacts that help archaeologists discover what we know about ancient Egypt and how we know it. The Carnegie Museum of Natural History will present this program.

Why Go?: The Upper St. Clair Founders Memorial Fund presents the 8th Annual JBJ Baseball Classic at the . This charity fundraiser is structured like a golf outing, only instead of golf participants will play one nine inning game of baseball. The organization will supply pitches, catchers, umpires and equipment. Participants need only to bring a glove. Participants can organize a team or get a spot on an existing team. If teams are not full the organization will fill any spots! The fee includes participation and a $30 gift certificate to . Call 412-726-7206 to register.
