5 Things to Do This Sunny Weekend

Here are five events to check out for the first weekend of spring.

1.
Where/When: , 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday through Friday
Why Go: Gigantic Children and Teen Clothing and Toy Re-Sale features gently used apparel and toys at a fraction of retail.  The big 1/2 price sale is on Saturday.  This is a consignment sale that has been benefiting contributors and local charities for 22 years! Wheelchair and stroller accessible.

2.
Where?/When?: , 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: Join the Holy Child Catholic School for a fish fry each Friday in Lent. The menu includes fried, baked fish, fish sandwiches, shrimp cole slaw, fries, mac and cheese and stewed tomatoes, pierogies and halushki. Take out and phone orders will be available after 3 p.m. Call 412-221-4720 to order.
Pricing: $9 adults and $5.50 child (includes 2 sides, beverage and dessert, $7 sandwiches.

3.
Where/When: , 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Your child will love this kit! This cool art station comes complete with a chalkboard and chalk!

4.
Where?/When?: , 6:30 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Do you have what it takes to be a Tribute? Does your knowledge of The Hunger Games surpass all others? Enter the Hunger Games Trivia Contest. Scott Library is representing District 12. Call 412-429-5380 to register. to read more about the tournament. 

5.
Where?/When?: , 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: Some of the new formats in rubber stamping are called inchies, twinchies, thrinchies, Artist Trading Cards and Moos. Learn more and create 5 or 6 pieces. Bring your favorite glue and scissors. For adults and teens 16 and older. Please call 412-221-3737 to register.
Pricing: $5 material fee.
