Why Go: The kids will love it! Take the children to South Hills Village for an Easter-themed ride.

Why Go: The "Hoops For A Cure" is an annual charity event with all donations going toward Pancreatic Cancer research.  This is the 16th year for event which has raised over $1.1 million. The games will feature WPIAL All-Stars, Alumni and Pittsburgh Steelers! Read more about the event .

Where/When: Michael’s, Saturday, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Why Go?: This project is free when you buy a tote! Participants can show their love for Mother Earth by decorating a trendy canvas tote. This event is for ages 3 and up.

Where/When: South Hills Village: Lower Level North Court, Saturday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Why Go?: The YMCA will stop by South Hills village for this special event held in communities across the country with the goal of getting kids and their families excited and engaged in healthy activities and lifestyles. Participants will learn about the new programs that are available at the South Hills/ Cloverleaf YMCA. Members of the Simon Kidgits Club will also be able to enjoy a special craft project, too!

Why Go: All women, and their friends, are invited to attend for a time of spiritual refreshment, fellowship and good food. Hot casseroles and cold dishes will be served and the program will be "Psalm 23." If you are willing to help in any way- making a hot casserole, a salad, fresh fruit, sweet rolls and/or breads, clean-up, etc.-- please e-mail or call.

Why Go?: The Young Writers Program is a fun, free writing program where middle school teens (grades 6-8) who share a passion for writing explore their craft. Teens write novels and scripts, share word-count goals and achievements, and brainstorm with other writers via online message boards.

Where/When: , Saturday, 1 p.m.
Why Go?: Children in grades 1 through 5 can sign up for a 15-minute reading session with the therapy dog, Zeke! This program is perfect for kids that need extra practice with reading. Bring your favorite book to read for Zeke.

Why Go?: Kids of all ages are invited to use molds to make chocolate bunnies, peanut butter melt-aways, chocolate lollipops and more! Space is limited so hurry and register! Call or go online to register.
