The musical "9 to 5" is running March 6 to 9 at 7:30 pm in the high school auditorium.

Chartiers Valley High School’s performing arts department is putting on the musical “9 to 5” this week. The show is running March 6 to 9 at 7:30 pm in the high school auditorium. According to the school district’s website, the musical is about friendship and revenge that follows three unlikely friends who conspire to take control of their company and “learn there’s nothing they can do–even in a man’s world.” The musical is about teaming up, getting credit for what you do and getting even. The school district said the musical does contain some profanity and has adult themes–labeling it as PG–so some parental guidance is suggested. Reserved tickets are $10 and senior citizens can use their Gold Card for free admission. To buy tickets, call …

St. Patrick's Day is coming up on Sunday, March 17. As you dye your beer green and grill up your corned beef, make something special for the kids, too! I recently tried out this "Leprechaun Candy" recipe after seeing it on Good Morning America. It's supposed to be a healthier version of Sour Patch Kids. My husband was my guinea pig and ... the experiment was a delicious success! Go ahead and try it. Let me know what you think in the comments below. Leprechaun Candy Courtesy of Sweet Treats & More Bunch of green grapes 1 package lime Jello Wash your grapes, but keep them a little wet so the Jello powder sticks to them. Dump the Jello powder on a plate and roll the grapes in the powder. Refrigerate the grapes for a couple hours and enjoy …

Recipe: Potato Cheese Soup

With a little improvising, you can put your own personal stamp on this great potato cheese soup recipe!

Who doesn’t love making a great soup? We spent the past week buying fresh ingredients and stewing up a tasty potato cheese soup using this reciple from AllRecipes.com. It’s easy to make and tastes great. And with a little improvising, you can put your own personal stamp on this great recipe!     In a large pot, combine the potatoes and carrot with water to cover and boil on high heat for about 15 minutes or until tender. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute the celery and onions in the margarine for about 10 minutes. You can also skip this step and just dump the vegetables in with the potatoes and carrots after they’re boiled. Drain all but about 2 cups of the water from the potatoes and carrots and add 4 cups milk. Reduce heat to low and …
