What Should Replace Damon's?

Damon’s is closed (again) so we’re asking our readers what you want to see go there if the restaurant doesn’t reopen.

Damon’s at Collier Town Square is closed again, so we’re asking our readers what you want to see go there if the restaurant doesn’t reopen.

It’s the second time in less than two years the restaurant has reorganized, and many of the chain restaurants across the region are closing.

The televisions, tables and chairs are all gone, leaving questions about whether Damon’s will ever reopen here. A "For Sale/Lease" sign was placed on the front door Thursday morning.

So, if you could see any other restaurant in this location, what would you like in this plaza? If not a restaurant, what else do you see here?

Use your imagination and tell us in the comment section!

Definitely a restaurant! Maybe like an O'Charley's. They're supposed to be coming to Robinson soon. They have amazing food and it would fit right in with the pub/family atmosphere.

Any type of restaurant, a family one would be preferred. This area is lacking of choices for families to enjoy a night out.

I just noticed the new For Sale/Lease sign up this morning, as well. Looks like it's finished.

THey are focusing more on the store in Robinson. After working there when it first opened I think the place went down hill anyway

I was wondering what happened. The did sporadic business, I'm actually not too surprised they closed. The food and service was good, not like that other bar/restaurant that is in the same plaza. Maybe a nice Thai joint would be cool.

Here's the story I wrote in March about the two new restaurants opening in Great Southern Shopping Center later this year. Rumfish should be close to opening, while Mike and Tony's has a little bit longer to go... http://chartiersvalley.patch.com/articles/new-restaurants-coming-to-great-southern

THERE IS GOING TOP BE A SEAFOOD RESTUARANT IN GREAT SOUTHERN SHOPPING CENTER CALLED RUMFISH. IT WILL BE LIKE THE CABANA BAR IN THE NORTHHILLS. OUTSIDE TIKE BARS , FIRE PITS , HUNDRED OF TONS OF SAND ALONG WITH THE TROPICAL LANDCSAPING.WITH BANDS OUTSIDE.YOU WILL THINK YOU ARE AT THE BEACH. IT WILL BE OPEN THE END OF JULY. NOTHING IN THE AREA WILL BE ABLE TO COMPARE TO IT

I would like to see one of Mario Battali's restaurants. Something like his Del Posto or Lupa in New York City. I think it would do really well at that location.

Why would Mario Batali want to open a restaurant in Collier?
