Two Heidelberg residents who were arrested for drunken driving in September waived their right to a preliminary hearing and will head to trial on the charges.
Two Heidelberg residents who were arrested for drunken driving in September waived their right to a preliminary hearing and will head to trial on the charges.
Both waived the charges before their preliminary hearings with District Judge Gary Zyra on Nov. 15.
Donald Byerly Jr., 52, was arrested on Sept. 21 by Scott Township police, according to court records. He waived the DUI charges to trial, although charges of careless driving and accident to unattended property were withdrawn.
Michael Utchel, 33, was arrested on Sept. 22 by Heidelberg police, according to court documents. He waived the drunken driving charges to court before his preliminary hearing.

- Charges of trespassing, theft and receiving stolen property against Roland S. Kramer, 32, of Scott Township, were withdrawn. Scott Township police originally charged Kramer on Sept. 29.
