Three Cited for Underage Drinking During Traffic Stop

Scott Township police said three people were cited for underage drinking during a traffic stop in East Carnegie. Read about that and other crime news in the weekly Scott Township police blotter.

 

Scott Township police said three people were cited for underage drinking during a traffic stop in East Carnegie.

Police said they stopped a car in the 200 block of Noblestown Road shortly before midnight on Jan. 4 and found the three underage occupants to be drinking.

Michael Fitzhenry, 20, Andrew Lane, and Ashley Tschannen, 18, all of Pittsburgh, were issued non-traffic citations for underage drinking, police said.

Scott Township

Drug charge: Byron Davis Jr., 45, of Pittsburgh, was charged with possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop along Superior Street on Dec. 2, Scott Township police said.

DUI crash: Frank Ragghianti, 66, of Scott, was charged with drunken driving following a three-car crash on Greentree Road at Aria Drive on Dec. 2, township police said.

Assault charge: Scott police said 34-year-old township resident Vinod Vijayan was charged with assault following a fight on Chatham Park Drive on Jan. 4.

Threatening texts: Scott police said a 15-year-old was taken to Shuman Detention Center after allegedly sending threatening text messages on Jan. 3.

The police report did not say, but there were no charges of DUI. Usually Scott Township police will make note of that if there are additional charges. The citations are also too fresh to be in the online magisterial courts database.

I WOULD LIKE THE NAMES OF THE UNDERAGERS. THE PUBLIC SHOULD KNOW WHO THE TROUBLED YOUNGSTERS ARE IN THEIR HOOD.. IT WOULD ALSO BRING PRIDE TO THE PARENTS
