Get Out: Family Night, Car Wash & Movie in the Park
Here are five events to check out this weekend.
1. Sandman Cometh
Where?/When?: Scott Township Public Library, 6 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: The Sandman is here with his bag of sand but he’s not going to put you to sleep! Come make some fun & unique Sand Crafts at Scott Library for ages 8 & up only. This program is free but registration is required.
2. Family Night at Heidelberg Park
Where?/When?: Heidelberg Borough Parks and Recreation, 6 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: The Heidelberg Recreation Committee will be sponsoring a fun-filled evening that has something for all ages. Features include a DJ/Karaoke, games, corn hole, bocce, horseshoes, kickball, food and more! What a great way to spend a summer night having a great time in the park with your family and fellow neighbors!
3. Cross Country Car Wash
Where?/When?: Exxon at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: All donations benefit the Chartiers Valley Cross Country Team. Stop by and meet the runners.
4. Whiskey Rebellion Weekend
Where?/When?: Neville House Museum, 1 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: Step back in time at Woodville Plantation, when this living history museum presents a special weekend to commemorate the anniversary of the Whiskey Rebellion of 1794. Click here to read about Saturday’s events and here for Sunday’s.
Pricing: $5.00 Per Person, Children Under 6 Free
5. Movies in the Park
Where?/When?: Scott Township Park, 8:30 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Come down to Scott Township park to watch a family friendly movie. Today's movie is Mr. Poppers Penguins.

If you are looking for a fun filled weekend of kids baseball, Bridgeville is hosting their 8U & 10U tournaments down at Chartiers Park as well! We will have a fully stocked concession stand with all of your ball park favorites. Games are evenings Thursday & Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
