Jewelry Thieves Target Trader Jack’s Vendors

Collier Township police are warning vendors at Trader Jack’s Flea Market to keep a close eye on their merchandise after two jewelry thefts in four weekends.

 

Collier Township police are warning vendors at Trader Jack’s Flea Market to keep a close eye on their merchandise after two jewelry thefts in four weekends.

Police said on Oct. 21 a man and woman stole a ring worth $2,000 while the vendor turned away for a second to help another customer. The vendor allowed let her to try on the ring, which had a cluster of diamonds around a ruby on a 14k gold band, police said.

Then on Nov. 11, police said someone stole two watches worth about $1,700. The vendor did not get a description of the person and police said they do not have any suspects.
