Smash and Grab Thief Stole Woman's Dentures
A Bridgeville woman told police a "Tooth Fairy Bandit" stole dentures that were in her parked car.
The thief who ransacked nearly 20 vehicles in Bridgeville over the past week took a real bite out of crime when he stole a woman’s dentures from her parked car.
Kathy Saunoras told Bridgeville police the thief took her dentures from her car parked on Laurel Street, leaving her with no cheap options to replace them. Saunoras, who discussed the strange theft in the comments section of Wednesday’s story about the rash of smash and grab thefts, could not be reached for an interview.
But when Dana Divecchio of Peters Township heard of her plight on the evening news, he decided to help her by offering to pay for a new set of dentures.
“It’s a tough story and just thought I would pay it forward,” Divecchio said.
He spoke to Saunoras over the phone Thursday morning and said he would send a check to her dentist once she learned of the cost.
“She was very surprised, very grateful,” Divecchio said.
He said it felt good to help someone in need. Still, he couldn’t get over the strange crime by the so-called Tooth Fairy Bandit.
“That’s what was freaking me out,” Divecchio said. “It was just so bizarre.”

Dana Divecchio,
Kudos to you for helping Kathy Saunoras. This is not a funny manner whomever did this to her. Shame on them.

Has it been determined around about times in which these crimes are being committed? It sounds like most of these incidents have been occurring over by Cook School Park. If they are on foot one would assume that the thief lives around there.

They were all in the early morning hours and in the area of McLaughlin Run Road. You're probably right in thinking the thief lives in the area.
