Scott Township kicks off the winter festivals Thursday night with its annual Tree Lighting festival at Scott Park.

The event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 29, will have cookies and hot chocolate in the lodge, carolers and other perform at the amphitheater

Santa will arrive on his sleigh pulled by the three township fire departments.

The temperatures might drop just enough for everyone to enjoy a nice bonfire in the park.
