Scott Township is considering repaving the notoriously bumpy Swallow Hill Road.
Scott Township commissioners discussed the issue last week and said they plan to repair the road, although they did not say when the work would begin, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The township estimates the job will cost $1.5 million to reconstruct the road from Scrubgrass Road past the Nob Hill Apartments, the newspaper reported. Swallow Hill Road was last reconstructed 25 years ago, although there have been minor patch jobs along the way.
There could also be repairs to the equally as treacherous Kane Boulevard. Both roads are pitted with potholes and bumps that have drivers swerving to miss them for fear busting an axle or two.
However, when the work will begin and how the township will pay for it is unknown. The P-G reported township officials said they would have to take out a bond to conduct the work later this summer, which could take more than a month.

Oh yes! Please! Repaving these roads would be most wonderful. The temporary inconvenience would be most worth it!
