A Scott Township man is accused of breaking into a home and assaulting another person inside. Also in the weekly police blotter, a Heidelberg man allegedly punched his female neighbor in the face.
A Scott Township man is accused of breaking into a home and assaulting another person inside. Scott police arrested 19-year-old Robert Tracy after investigators said he “forcibly entered” a Cynthia Drive home shortly before midnight on Aug. 9 and attacked a man inside the residence. Police said Tracy was drunk at the time, and they charged him with burglary, criminal mischief, assault, public drunkenness and underage drinking. Police did not say why Tracy allegedly entered the home.
Disturbance at Denny’s: Anthony Rowe, 19, of Irwin, was charged with disorderly conduct after Scott police said he was causing problems at Denny’s on Greentree Road in the early hours of Aug. 10.
Store burglarized: Scott police said a store on Painters Run Road was burglarized and clothing stolen while it was closed on Aug. 10.
Car vandalized: A car parked on Superior Street had its windshield and sunroof smashed in the early hours of Aug. 11, Scott police said.
Two charged with disorderly conduct: Angela Godfrey, 24, and Christopher Anthony, 26, both of Scott, were charged with disorderly conduct on Aug. 12 after township police said they were causing problems at the GetGo gas station along Washington Avenue.
Man found staggering: Mark White, 55, of Dormont, was charged with public drunkenness after Scott police said they found him staggering on Vanadium Road on Aug. 8.
Ladder stolen: A ladder worth about $200 was stolen from a Border Street home on Aug. 7, Scott police said.
Change stolen from unlocked car: Scott police said someone entered an unlocked car parked on McMonagle Avenue and stole change from the vehicle in the early hours of Aug. 9.
Man accused of punching neighbor: Jay McGregor, 50, of Heidelberg, was charged with assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness on Aug. 10 after borough police said he punched a female neighbor in the face during a fight on Grant Street.
Public drunkenness charge: Heidelberg police charged 32-year-old Darren Walls with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after officers said he was causing problems in his Garfield Avenue neighborhood on Aug. 9.
Woman accused of trespassing: Karen Winter, 52, of Bridgeville, was charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and defiant trespassing after borough police said she involved in an incident in the 100 block of Liberty Street on Aug. 2.
Three teens cited: Bridgeville police said three girls ages 16 to 17 were cited for disorderly conduct and harassment following an incident in the 800 block of Baldwin Street on Aug. 6. Police did not release their names because they are juveniles.
Car stolen from dealer’s lot: Collier police said someone stole a silver GMC Envoy sport-utility vehicle that was parked at Hunter Truck Sales along Campbells Run Road on Aug. 6.
Vandalized van: Collier police said vandals cut two tires on a van that was left overnight at Trader Jack’s on Aug. 5.
Truck vandalized: The owner of a truck who parked it in front of the Bottom Dollar at Great Southern Shopping Center on Aug. 7 returned to find air had been released from the tires and someone dented the sides of the vehicle, Collier police.
Pair charged with retail theft: Two people face retail theft charges after Collier police said they tried to steal $82 worth of items from Plato’s Closet on Aug. 9. Police said they arrested Ian Davis, 31, of Mt. Lebanon, and Jennifer Whitney, 28, of Pittsburgh, after they allegedly put the stolen items into an empty purse.
Purse stolen from car: A purse containing credit cards and other belongings was stolen from a car parked on Deans Lane in the early hours of Aug. 10.
Wallet missing: A wallet, which contained cash and gift cards, was stolen from a man when he went to the Giant Eagle ATM machine on Aug. 11.
