After four months of hard work, the doors will finally open at a new Mexican restaurant on Painters Run Road in Upper St. Clair.

Cinco will welcome customers on Oct. 4.

A variety of traditional Mexican items will be available for purchase, including alcoholic beverages like margaritas.

Hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 12 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Restaurant Manager Hugo Montanez, of Crafton, is opening the restaurant with his sister and brother-in-law. He said they were attracted to the nice area and realized there were very few nearby Mexican options for customers.

Montanez is still looking for restaurant employees. If you're interested, stop by the restaurant at 1600 Painters Run Road between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to apply.

This place has been so many different restaurants over the past decade. Bella's is one of them I remember. I think it was two other things, too, besides Walt's. Does anyone else remember the other restaurants here?

Scoglio's and something with Painter in it. I remember the sign had a paint brush with different colors of paint in it and said the fine art of dining or something like that.

I remember the paintbrush, too, but I can't recall the name either.

It was "The Painter's Run." I hope this restaurant stays around; I love a family owned business!

Then I'm showing my age, too, Barb. (Good for both of us!)
Walt Davic's place was always a fun place to gather. We went there for quite a few years, even before they served any food. Just drinks, bagged snacks, a few games, and juke box music. People from all over having fun together.

We could use another Walt's Tavern type of place. After Callahan's/Crazy Horse burned down, we don't really have a great "hang out" bar in the area. Driving to Robinson is okay, but I'd rather see my true neighbors!

I went there with my family tonight. Terrible experience!! Service was horrible, food was awful and they really didn't have their act together. Don't open until you're ready to serve your customers!
