Multi-Sport Athlete Plans to Sign Scholarship with Eastern Michigan

Kristina Coyne, the multi-sport star who kicked on the varsity football team and played four other sports, is expected to sign onto an athletic scholarship at the college this week.

Kristina Coyne, the multi-sport star who kicked on the varsity football team and played four other sports, is expected to sign an athletic scholarship at Eastern Michigan University.

She plans to compete in track at the college in Ypsilanti, MI, just a few miles away from Ann Arbor, Chartiers Valley Athletic Director Frank Vulcano Jr. said.

She will officially sign her national letter of intent Wednesday morning in the High School Athletic Conference Room.

Besides serving as the football team’s place kicker the past three years, Kristina also played volleyball, basketball and competed in track and field.

Vulcano said Kristina is the “most decorated athlete in school history” and has received 15 varsity letters in five different sports.

Kristina helped the team win two section championships, and she also competed in the 100 meter hurdles in the state tournament, Vulcano said. As a member of the Lady Colts basketball team, she helped the team win three section titles and appear twice in the state semifinal.

She has also lettered three times in both football and soccer, Vulcano said.

Kristina is the daughter of Rick and Pauline Beattie of Scott Township.

This was a nice article about a very well rounded athlete and moose pudding can't just leave it alone. Why is it necessary to make a mean comment? If you have nothing nice to say just say nothing.

Moose pudding: Your jealousy is almost palpable. Do yourself a favor and stand up from your computer and accomplish something with your life. Even your name suggests insecurity. Maybe, just maybe, if you go out and accomplish something, perhaps just a minimum wage job, (Based on your grammar skills, I doubt there is much more in your future) you may feel like you are more than just moose pudding.
