Mt. Lebanon Woman Sworn-In to Allegheny County Council
Krista Harris, a Republican from Mt. Lebanon, was sworn-in on Tuesday night to become the new Allegheny County Council representative for the South Hills.

The Mt. Lebanon Republican was sworn-in on Tuesday night and replaces Vince Gastgeb's (R-Bethel Park) in his District 5 seat. He took a job with the Allegheny County Airport Authority earlier this year.
She will represent Bridgeville residents after the county council districts were redrawn last year. District 5 also includes Mt. Lebanon, Bethel Park and Upper St. Clair.
Residents living in Scott Township, Heidelberg and Collier will continue to be represented by Councilman Michael Finnerty.
Harris is the vice chair of the Republican Committee of Mt. Lebanon and is a committee member for the Junior League of Pittsburgh.
She is currently an account executive at Cold Spark Media, an advertising and public relations firm located in downtown Pittsburgh. Prior to that, she worked in Harrisburg for a government affairs firm and in Washington, D.C. for U.S. Rep. Jim Gerlach.
Harris recived a bachelor's degree from Susquehanna University and master’s in media and public affairs from The George Washington University.
A resident of Mt. Lebanon, Harris lives with her husband, Mark, daughter, Abigail, and dog, Dexter.
