Moon Beats Chartiers Valley in WPIAL Opener
The Chartiers Valley Colts lost to the Moon Tigers 35-16 in the high school football WPIAL opener.
Moon Area High School beat Chartiers Valley 35-16 Friday night to start the 2012 WPIAL football season, according to WPXI-TV.
The Colts traveled to Moon for the season opener in the new Parkway Center Conference.
Chartiers Valley has its home opener against Hopewell next week on Sept. 7.
The Moon Tigers travel to Blackhack next week for their game on Sept. 7.
