Martin Luther King Jr. Day Closures

What's open and closed around the area on Jan. 16.

There is no school for students in the Chartiers Valley School District on Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, and many other places are also closed.

With the school campus being empty, area police departments will be conducting an active shooter drill at the high school to help train officers.

Meanwhile, all local and county government offices are also closed, along with U.S. Post Offices and magisterial courts.

State liquor stores, most banks and PennDOT driver license and photo centers will not be open.

The Bridgeville and Scott Township public libraries will remain open today, although South Fayette's library will be closed.

The Port Authority of Allegheny County will operate regular bus, T and incline service.
