Spring is the busiest time of the year for residential real estate and 22 local owners decided to capitalize on that and put their homes on the market in hopes of a sale this summer, according to a report provided by Debbie Dattalo of Keller Williams Realty.

Scott Township had the most new listings on the market with 10 just added in the last few weeks. Most of the home prices are in the middle range from $100,000 to $175,000, with a fixer-upper row house on Noblestown and a few higher listings such as 239 Black Oak and 67 Stancey Road.

Bill Sewak, who owns his home at 1454 Greentree Road in Scott Township, just listed with an agent a few weeks ago after trying to sell it on his own last year. “Now is the best time to sell and I wanted to get my house on the market,” he said. He’s moving to Robinson for more land, but “absolutely loves the area” because of its convenient location close to everything.

Collier Township saw seven new listings since May 1, four of which are patio or townhomes. Two newer carriage homes on Fair Acre Court have all the amenities plus the convenience of maintenance free living. There’s a townhome at Nevillewood and another patio home on Grand Cypress listed for $369,900. Other Collier listings include Carol Drive, Canterbury, and last but not least a $1.995 million estate on the 14th hole at Nevillewood.

There were five new listings in Bridgeville this month, all full of the classic charm that the borough is known for. A 99-year old Victorian classic at 609 Chartiers Street has 4 bedrooms and over 3 levels plus a huge country kitchen, recently redone. The other homes all have 3 bedrooms and appeared immaculately maintained with features such as newer kitchens, fireplaces, and nice lots and landscaping.
