Man Arrested After Staggering on Route 50 Near Bridgeville

Collier Township police arrested a man last week after motorists saw him staggering on Route 50 near the Chartiers Valley Shopping Center.

 

Collier Township police arrested a man last week after motorists saw him staggering on Route 50 near the Chartiers Valley Shopping Center.

Police said they were called to Anderson Equipment around 7 p.m. on Jan. 30 after officers from Bridgeville took the man into custody.

Police said Michael Himes, 46, of Finleyville, smelled of alcohol and they charged him with public drunkenness.

It’s not known how long the man was walking in the busy roadway or if he caused any traffic delays.
