Man Accused of Theft Waives Charges
A Crafton man accused of stealing money from a car console while he was receiving a ride from a motorist waived his theft charge to court.
A Crafton man accused of stealing money from a car console while he was receiving a ride from a motorist waived his theft charge to court.
Justin Lewchenko, 21, of Crafton, was charged with theft after Scott Township police said he took money from a vehicle’s console after receiving a ride on Jan. 15.
Police said the driver picked Lewchecnko up in Crafton and dropped him off in Scott Township.
Lewchenko waived the theft charge to court before his preliminary hearing with District Judge Gary M. Zyra on Jan. 31.
Zyra drastically reduced Lewchenko’s bail from $75,000 cash to 10 percent of $1,000.
