Irish Pub Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day Weekend with Street Fair in Carnegie
Riley’s Pour House is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this weekend by holding a two-day block party festival on East Main Street in Carnegie. What will you be doing in the Pittsburgh area to celebrate St. Patrick's Day?
Riley’s Pour House is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this weekend by holding a two-day block party festival on East Main Street in Carnegie.
The Irish pub opened last year and has earned numerous awards from area publications and residents.
The block party begins at 10 a.m. Saturday when a tent opens and beer is served out front until 8 p.m. The pub and back patio will be open until 2 a.m. Sunday with numerous bands playing during the day.
On St. Patrick’s Day, the pub and Main Street tent open at noon Sunday. There will be more entertainment during the day.
There is a $5 cover charge to enter the pub and back patio. However, there won’t be a cover charge to hang out at the tent.
Riley’s Pour House opened in February 2012 and was featured in Chartiers Valley Patch.
The owners, Jim and Cheryl Riley, purchased the business that was previously known as Paddy’s Pour House in late 2011 and renovated the building. The location has been an Irish pub for the past 33 years.

You make an assumption that heavy drinking will happen at this place. Your assumption is undoubtedly a good one.
I still await an explanation why heavy drinking must be part of these celebrations. "To have fun," certainly doesn't apply. Nobody needs to be stoned in order to have fun. "Having a good time," does not apply either. Why does one need to have their mind significantly altered in order to have a good time?
Your point about drunken driving is the most important. Many of us could care less about the hangover, the loss of sanity, and the disturbed peace. But, these outcomes pale in comparison to getting behind the wheel and driving. The "it is my own business" mantra stops at that point. I'm doubting your exhortation will be heeded by very many drinkers because the penalties for DUI are so light.
