Get Out: Family Night, Flea Market and Movie in the Park

Here are five events to check out this weekend.

 

1. Family Night at Heidelberg Park
Where?/When?: Heidelberg Borough Parks and Recreation, 6 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: The Heidelberg Recreation Committee will be sponsoring a fun-filled evening that has something for all ages. The event features live music, games, cornhole, bocce, horseshoes, kickball, 50/50 raffle, food and more.

2. Flea-Market Preview Sale
Where?/When?: St. Thomas More School Gym, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?:  The Flea Market Pre-sale will be held at the St. Thomas More School Gym. The sale will feature a spectacular selection of items at a bargain.
Pricing: $5 entry fee from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., No entry fee from 12 to 7 p.m.

3. Bridgeville Day on the Avenue
Where?/When?: Washington Avenue, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Bridgeville on the Avenue will feature a classic car cruise until 3 p.m., children's events, food, DJ and bands and much more! (Look for the Chartiers Valley Patch tent at this event.) Also, BAA Family Movie will be held at Chartiers Park at dusk.

4. Movies in the Park
Where/When: Scott Township Municipal Building, 8:30 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Come down to Scott Township park to watch a family friendly movie. This week's movie is Dolphin Tale.  

5. Uptown Farmers Market
Where?/When?: Mt Lebanon Municipal Building at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The Mt. Lebanon Uptown Farmers Market runs every Saturday through October from 9 a.m. to noon. Vendors selling fresh meats and cheese, breads, flowers, produce and more can be found along Washington Road in Mt. Lebanon.
