Family Increases Reward to Help Find Jimmy Slack
Up to $5,000 is available to anyone who has information on the missing Bridgeville man.

A month after Jimmy Slack disappeared from a concert in Pittsburgh, his family is increasing the financial reward available to anyone who has information about the missing Bridgeville man.
“Any lead is a good lead,” said Maureen Shields, who is Slack’s sister. “We’re still at this. We’re not giving up.”
The family decided to increase the reward from $1,000 up to $5,000 in an effort to get any information that might help them find the 25-year-old Bridgeville resident. Slack went missing on Dec. 7 after attending a String Cheese Incident concert at Stage AE on the North Side.
Since then, there has been very little information about how he disappeared and Pittsburgh police detectives said few clues are surfacing. Shields said the family thinks someone who was at the concert knows what happened to Slack.
“Things have gone cold, but we’re still pushing hard,” Shields said.
In addition to the increased reward, Lamar Advertising has donated space on an electronic billboard near Rivers Casino on the North Side that shows Slack’s photo and supplies contact information. Shields said the billboard company offered the space until Jan. 12 and designed the image that is rotating with other advertisements.
The family also has been proactive in using social media by building a Facebook page that has nearly 4,000 followers and sending out updates through Twitter using the handle @HelpFindJS.

Rewards, billboards, flyers, posters, all pretty much worthless. Osama bin Laden had a 25 million dollar bounty on his head and was hiding in a country where the average annual income is about 1000USD. The very best way to find a missing person or what happened to them is to hire a private investigator. Figure on paying about $50. an hour plus expenses. Figure on spending well into 5 figures. Realize that they may not get results, but will still have to be paid.

Any port in a storm. Visit Suzanne Vincent's website at suzannevincent.com and then decide. When I saw that phone readings were available that cinched it for me. All these witch doctors operate on the principle that even a broken clock is right twice a day.

In an article dated December 16, 2011 you wrote that Pittsburgh Police "investigators went to some of the homeless camps on the North Side near the railroad tracks to see if anyone there saw him." I wonder if that's where the Vincent's got their "vision" of the railroad tracks. And there are only two possibilites, Slack is either alive or dead. Maybe the Vincent's just tossed a coin.

If you read the ABC News story, it's obvious that this isn't a desirable option for the family. But besides hiring a private investigator, there don't appear to be many options left. Also, a lot of their Facebook page followers have been suggesting this for the past month. Whether it works or not remains to be seen.

As long as it costs nothing youv'e got nothing to lose. The Vincent's probably figure that if they get lucky they'll get some publicity out of this. Everyone will say, hey they really are psychic and schedule a home party to contact their dead relatives.

I'm kind of suprised that no one organized a volunteer search I'll admit that most are non-productive, but it might be worth a shot. The North Side is large, but most of it is paved. With the leaves down one could cover a lot of the undeveloped area in a short time.

They've already done that. The family organized a couple searches in the weeks after his disappearance, and police went out with cadaver dogs all over the North Side. If he was there or anywhere else in the city, I think they would've found him by now.

"If he was there or anywhere else in the city, I think they would've found him by now."...You're assuming a lot there. The Anthony toddler in Florida was found a couple of blocks from her house, months after she disappeared, by a meter reader looking for a place to urinate.
