A 67-year-old woman faces drunken driving charges after Bridgeville police said she crashed into a parked car and then left the scene.

Mary Stanton was charged with DUI and other related counts following the collision in the 600 block of Bank Street shortly before 9 p.m. on Jan. 10, borough police said.

Officers said they arrived and found a parked car with damage and another car a few blocks away that also appeared to be involved in the crash. Police impounded Stanton’s car and later tracked the woman to a Scott Township home, where she was arrested.

Police did not say if Stanton or anyone else was injured in the crash.

I didn't realize 67 was considered elderly.

Something older than my parents! Lol! I mean, 67, you just get social security. I think elderly to me is in their 80's.

Haha... It's hard to define it, but I guess I went by the back-end of Social Security. But, point taken!

Elderly should be banned from the English language.

She may not be "elderly " but at any rate she is as dumb as a brick to be driving drunk at that age, and smash into a parked car! Are we not supposed to respect and learn from our ELDERS???
