DUI Checkpoints Planned This Weekend

Police in Pittsburgh and the South Hills will be conducting sobriety checkpoints and roving DUI patrols this Memorial Day weekend.

 

Police in Pittsburgh and the South Hills will be conducting sobriety checkpoints and roving DUI patrols this Memorial Day weekend.

The patrols will be in place between the hours of 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. throughout the South Hills and West End section of Pittsburgh.

In addition, the South Hills Area DUI Task Force, which includes Bridgeville, Collier, Heidelberg, Scott, Mt. Lebanon, South Fayette, Castle Shannon and Baldwin, will begin a summer-long intensive DUI enforcement. Municipal and state police will increase sobriety checkpoints and roving patrols throughout the state.

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police participates in PennDOT’s Western Alliance/Team DUI program, which consists of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, the Pennsylvania State Police and numerous local departments that conduct sobriety checkpoints and roving DUI patrols across Western Pennsylvania.
