District Court Rulings – 7/12

Read who got off the hook and who is going to trial on the charges after their preliminary hearing.

 

District Judge Gary M. Zyra oversees Heidelberg and Scott Township. District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet, who oversees Bridgeville, Collier and South Fayette, had no preliminary hearings this week.

Charges held for court

  • Charges of drunken driving, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness against Michelle Ostrander, 34, of Heidelberg, were held for court. A resisting arrest charge against her was dismissed. Heidelberg police arrested Ostrander on June 29.
  • Charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, pubic drunkenness and escape against Charles Hartz, 42, of Heidelberg, were held for court. A flight to avoid apprehension charge against him was withdrawn. Heidelberg police arrested Hartz on June 25.

 

Charges waived to court

  • A retail theft charge against Ronda Weaver, 56, of Braddock, was waived to court. Scott Township police arrested Weaver on June 23.
