Readers Choose Dari Delite as Best Ice Cream Stand
You overwhelmingly chose Dari Delite in Bridgeville as the best place to get an ice cream on a hot summer evening.
With summer just around the corner, we asked you where your favorite place is around this area to grab a frozen treat.
And you decided with one of the most lopsided decisions we’ve had in our Readers’ Choice questions.
With nearly 60 percent of the vote, you overwhelmingly chose Dari Delite in Bridgeville as the best place in this area to get an ice cream or frozen dessert on a hot summer evening.
Dairy Queen finished second with 32 percent of the vote and Rita’s Italian Ice on Greentree Road received 10 percent. Other local places that were nominated included Sincerely Yogurt, Sonic, King’s, McDonald’s and Eat‘n Park.
So with summer vacation coming up, go out and enjoy a tasty ice cream, frozen yogurt, sundae, milkshake or shaved ice around Bridgeville, Collier Township, Heidelberg and Scott Township.

Can't say I'm surprised. That place is always backed up 10-deep in both lines every time I drive by Bower Hill Road at twilight.

Another good one is "Remember When" in Windgap. Although it's not in our community. They have Do Wop nights, Pittsburghs Largest Cones and a ton of flavors....very good. Check them out...Yum
