CV Students Send Valentines to Retirement Home
Some Chartiers Valley Intermediate School students decided to send Valentine’s Day cards and crafts to a nearby retirement home.
Rather than trading Valentines with their classmates, some students at Chartiers Valley Intermediate School decided to send cards and crafts to a nearby retirement home.
Mrs. Pava’s 5H class at the intermediate school made Valentines for the residents living at Manor Care in Bethel Park.
A parent posted a photo on CV Patch’s Facebook page of a few of the students in Classroom 5H with their cards they made on Valentine’s Day for the residents.
The 23 students wrote a little bit about themselves and wished the residents a Happy Valentine’s Day.
The cards and crafts were delivered to the retirement home later on Thursday.

Lovely gesture! Just curious as to why they went to a facility in Bethel Park when there are so many retirement homes within the Chartiers Valley community?
Nice to see kids doing random acts of kindness.

As the parent organizing the Valentine Party, I was trying to find an activity that would appeal to 5th graders. I happen to know a worker at the Bethel Park home.
