Burglars Hit Scott Township Home

Home burglarized: Scott Township police said a Greenbriar Drive home was “forcibly entered” and several items were stolen on Oct. 22. Police did not say what items were stolen or whether the burglars damaged the home.
Man found staggering with syringes: Scott Township police said they arrested David Loidl, 27, of Scott, after they found him staggering in the early hours of Oct. 26. Police said they found him with syringes and he gave officers false information. There was also a warrant for his arrest.
Two face check forgery charges: Diana Klein, 35, of Scott, and Brandon Raineri, 32, of Canonsburg, were charged with forgery, criminal conspiracy and identity theft after Scott Township police said they tried to cash a check belonging to someone else on Oct. 24. Police said they also found suspected narcotics on Raineri.
Man accused of giving false info to police: David Coopey, 43, of Scott, was charged with make false reports to law enforcement after township police said they questioned him about an investigation on Oct. 25.
Woman charged with retail theft: Tashea Griffin, 19, of Hazelwood, was charged with retail theft on Oct. 27 after Scott police said she tried to leave Walmart without paying for baby clothes. Police said she left the items in the parking lot when confronted by store employees.
