1. Tales ‘N Tunes Story Time
Where?/When?: South Fayette Township Library, 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Friday
Why Go?: For ages 3-5 years with caregivers. The group sings songs (with motions), read stories and enjoy age-appropriate art activities. This high-energy program develops language, math, motor and social skills. No registration is required.
Pricing: Free.

2. “Fill the Bin”
Where?/When?: Chartiers Valley Primary School,  all day, Friday
Why Go?: Help the school fill the paper retriever bin with old newspapers, magazines, mail, and colored paper. No cardboard boxes, or bathroom or kitchen paper please! Items are recycled to make newsprint. It helps the environment and the school!

3. Bicycling Basics
Where?/When?: Scott Township Public Library, 3 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: You want to start bicycling but are not sure what you need? Don’t let the hills of Pittsburgh, stop you!  Come to Scott Library and learn the Basics of Bicycling. You’ll learn how to get started, what kind of bike will you need, safety equipment for your bike, safe places to ride, simple on the road repair and more. This program is geared towards riders 13 through adults-of-all-ages. The program is free but you must register at Scott Library or call 412-429-5380 by Friday, May 4.

4. Bridgeville Fire Department Cash Bash Bingo
Where?/When?: Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department, 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Cash Bash Bingo will be held May 5 at the fire hall’s Chartiers Room. Ticket numbers will be drawn every 15 minutes beginning at 7 p.m. Winners will receive $500 cash for each of those drawings. Meanwhile, the grand prize drawing at 11 p.m. is worth $5,000. There also are plans to have a second grand prize drawing for separate tickets that are sold during the evening. Food, beverages and other games and raffles will also be happening during the Cash Bash. For tickets, contact the fire department at 412-221-1711.

5. Rummage Sale
Where?/When?: Bethany Presbyterian Church, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday
Why Go?: Bethany Presbyterian Church will host a rummage sale this weekend. Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase.
