6th Annual Senior Fair hosted by State Rep. Matt Smith

State Rep. Matt Smith will hold his Sixth Annual Senior Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 at The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon, 1500 Washington Road in Mt. Lebanon for area residents 65 and older.

Over 100 exhibitors will provide information on services, products, and organizations specifically geared to older adults. Area seniors will find free information on state and local services including applications for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program and the state's prescription programs, PACE and PACENET.

Free health screenings and seasonal influenza immunizations will be available for individuals 65 and older as they have in past years. Seniors interested in the flu shot, should bring their Medicare or supplemental insurance card.

I DONT KNOW MATT SMITH. FOR ALL I KNOW HE MIGHT BECOME THE POPE SOME DAY. BUT I GET A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH WHEN THESE POLITIONS BECOME CAREER POLITIONS. THE LONGER THEY ARE IN ,THE LONGER THE TAX PAYERS.PAY.ASK MATT HOW MUCH HE PAYS FOR HEALTH CARE PER MONTH. ASK HIM HOW MUCH HIS PENSION WILL PAY HIM PER MONTH.THE LIST GOES ON.NO MORE CAREER POLITIONS.

A friend of mine went to the fair, and has since they began. It seems to both of us that this is a fabulous community service. As I see it, Mr. Smith is showing both leadership and connection to the community he serves through this event - and every other contact I've had with his office. Job well done. Thank you.
