Show Your Strength -- Pittsburgh Kettlebell Sport Exhibition

Instinct Fitness in Bridgeville will host the first Pittsburgh Kettlebell Sport Exhibition on Sunday, September 23. The competition will follow the rules and regulations of the International Kettlebell and Fitness Federation, which is one of the leading organizations dedicated to kettlebell training.

New and seasoned lifters are invited to experience the excitement of competition and show off their skills. The competition will feature events for both men and women in a variety of age and weight classes.

Those interested in learning more about the fast growing sport of kettlebells are encouraged to attend as spectators -- free admission.

A kettlebell can simply be described as a cannonball with a handle. Traditionally made from cast iron, kettlebells were used originally as counter weights for measure by Russian farmers in the 1800s. Soon they were employed to demonstrate strength, flexibility and endurance. In the 1990’s kettlebells starting gaining popularity on the fitness scene in the U.S.

When: Sunday, Sept. 23, 8:00 a.m. weigh in, 9:00 start
